Gareth is a graduate in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Ulster and is a Clinical Physiologist in the Cardiac Investigations Unit of the Belfast City Hospital.
He organises the team of voluntary vergers who make the worship of the cathedral happen with dignity and the minimum of fuss.

Miss Lynn Spence who has worked with the Dean since she left school, is responsible for the reprographics unit at the cathedral which produces all the orders of service, the Cathedral Digest and produces the in-house diary which keeps all the staff roughly up to date with what each one is doing!
